What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is an injectable skin remodelling treatment containing one of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) on the market, especially formulated for people whose skin lacks volume and elasticity.
Rather than just plumping and filling wrinkles, the slow release of HA by Profhilo stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, in turn improving skin tone, hydration and the appearance of fine lines. The result is improved skin quality lasting for up to 6 months.
How does this treatment work?
HA is hydrophilic, meaning it draws and holds water from your body, so Profhilo acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. This makes it fantastic for those with tired, dull-looking skin, transforming it into firm and luminous skin. This effect takes place within 3-5 days of treatment. Over the next few weeks collagen and elastin production is stimulated, producing a secondary effect of skin tightening. This is useful because levels of collagen, elastin and Hyaluronic Acid in the skin rapidly drop from the age of 30, resulting in signs of ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles and lacklustre skin. Profhilo acts to reverse some of these changes. The maximum effect of Profhilo is usually seen 2 months after the second treatment.
What are the benefits of this treatment?
The benefits of this improves skin tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance. It can help to increase firmness and elasticity and promote healthier and softer-looking skin. Profhilo is most commonly used for facial areas, but can also be used to rejuvenating the neck, arms, knees and hands. The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore we cannot say that Profhilo is a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.
What does the Profhilo treatment involve?
Profhilo is injected just below the skin’s surface over 2 sessions 4 weeks apart. After injection, it disperses quickly beneath the skin to improve hydration, without any need for massage or risk of leaving lumps or nodules. Profhilo is absorbed within a 2cm radius of its injection site, so to treat the face only 10 injection points are needed in total.
A single course of Profhilo involves 2 injectable treatments 4 weeks apart, after which you can expect to see an intense hydration. It makes the skin glow, fine lines can disappear and you’ll notice smoother, tighter skin. Courses of two treatments can be repeated every six months as needed to maintain the results.
Are there any side-effects?
As with all non-surgical aesthetic treatments there is a risk of side-effects, such as minor bruising or swelling at the injection sites. These do not usually occur and generally subside quickly when they do.
Profhilo is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or people who are allergic to Hyaluronic Acid.
What is Sunekos?
Another injectable treatment ls Sunekos, this is a new, intelligent injectable substance containing a potent cocktail of amino acids and hyaluronic acid (HA). These are vital building blocks of healthy and hydrated skin. Sunekos works by stimulating the fibroblasts in the skin to encourage it to produce a complete mix of collagen and elastin, restoring the vibrancy, youthful glow and health of the skin in a course of 4 treatment sessions every 7 to 10 days.
This is very similar to Profhilo as they both reverse the signs of ageing by penetrating deep into the skin and instead of plumping the skin like dermal fillers and Botox creates a more natural result by communicating with the skin on an intercellular level so that it can heal and mend itself. This is due to the added amino acids present in Sunekos which are vital in the maintenance of healthy, youthful-looking skin. And due to the intense hydration present in Profhilo the client achieves a tightening and lifting effect on the skin. Sunekos is versatile as this can be carried out on various areas of the body including face, neck, and hands, just like profhilo.
This unique treatment helps to correct and protect the dermis from signs of ageing as it stimulates the fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin, so not only does it dramatically reduce signs of ageing, but the results look completely natural, and your skin left looking smooth, hydrated and radiant.
Sunekos can effectively treat a wide range of symptoms of ageing which include:
• Loss of skin tone and skin sagging
• Skin ageing
• Severe wrinkles
• Lack of hydration
• Acne scarring
• Dark circles under eyes
• Sun damage
Fine lines and wrinkles
Sunekos offers the following benefits for the skin:
• Lifting and tightening
• Increased volume and plumpness of the skin
• Improvement in the appearance of deep wrinkles
• Increased deep and surface skin hydration
• Improvement in contour definition
Both of these injectable treatments are very similar in the fact that they both target older 30+ clients whose skin has begun to age and become saggy and lose of a lot of skin tone. Many clients May choose to have the Profhilo treatment as the slow release of HA stimulates the production of collagen and elastin this procedure can last for up to 6 months and it actually draws water from your body so it also acts more like a hydrated rather than a filler so this product offers a two for one as it hydrates the skin and tightens it. Another reason clients may prefer Profhilo to Sunekos is because collagen, elastin and hydrochloric acid in the skin rapidly drop from the age of 30 and Profhilo acts to reverse some of these changes in the skin. Although there are many positives to the Profhilo here at Vanité Clinic we offer Sunekos also both of these treatments are amazing and you could even have both treatments as They are very similar and both target many of the same problems.
Although there are some similarities between Sunekos and Profhilo, they are two distinct treatments that will deliver different outcomes for different people. Sunekos is often better suited to patients with skin displaying advanced signs of ageing because, alongside hydrating Hyaluronic acid, the formulation also contains powerful amino acid proteins that help to strengthen and firm the skin it is also helps to improve the condition of other skin problems including; lack of hydration, acne scarring, dark circles under eyes and sun damage. Due to this many clients may want to choose this injectable procedure. The benefit of using Sunekos is, it is the only natural product available in aesthetics that stimulates collagen and elastin, whilst restoring the elasticity and volume within the skin. Sunekos is an ideal treatment option for patients who aren’t looking for fillers or Botox but would like to rejuvenate their complexion and maintain a natural look.
